There are enough resources to make sure families who live in Denver Metro Area are at their best at home, school, work, and in the community. However, health in our area falls short because there are many, complex pieces to the health system – and they don’t always work together to ensure everyone has insurance coverage, medical care, healthy food, safe housing, and all the other things residents need to be healthy. That’s where we come in –

Metro Area Health Alliances connect our communities with providers to identify and understand problems, and seek collaborative solutions.

We:

  • Realized we shared some of the same challenges throughout our different communities

  • Recognized that together the alliances have extensive relationships we can leverage to solve problems and accelerate change

  • Decided to share and align strategies across the region where appropriate

  • Experienced the immediate benefits of a regional approach

  • Collaboratively applied for grants to address critical regional issues such as housing

  • Created a learning community by linking community-based pilots in different counties

Metro Area Health Alliances are building a collaborative space for all of the different parts of the system to work together to solve problems, share resources, and link services so everyone in our region can live healthier, better lives at home, school, work, and in the community.

We:

  • Convene diverse stakeholders from within and beyond the health sector.

  • Have unique networks across many sectors including health, housing, transportation, food, immigration, and other sectors

  • Are nimble and responsive so we can address emerging problems

  • Focus on community-defined needs to improve resident health
