Brief History
Since April 2013, members of the Adams County Health Alliance (ACHA) have been formally convening regarding the status of health care in Adams County. These key stakeholders are committed to achieving increased access to quality health care and improved health outcomes in the community by establishing partnerships and identifying collaborative strategies.
Members and Affiliates
Partners represent organizations from various sectors including but not limited to healthcare, hospitals, public health, oral health, medical and behavioral health organizations, government, schools and early childhood.
Current Working Groups/Program Priorities
Current priorities include mobilizing community support through advocacy efforts directed at improved access and targeted collaboration focused on transportation, housing, food insecurity and access to mental health services. Work groups are developed on an ad hoc basis as common priorities arise across our members.
Why regional alliance work is important
The ACHA is interested in contributing to improved coordination and collaboration among local alliances across the Metro region through shared learning, aligning around common priorities, planning and implementing shared activities and pursuing joint funding opportunities.
Capacity
Meetings are held quarterly (Feb, May, Aug, Nov) on the 4th Monday of the month. An annual prioritization exercise with membership organizations determines the topic of the quarterly meetings. Minutes include announcements and updates from member organizations. Work groups meet on an ad hoc basis and report out to the larger ACHA.
